Poland Police Seize Stickers Advertising Russian Mercenary Group Wagner: Nervousness Increases Amid Camps in Belarus

In Poland, police seized stickers advertising the Russian mercenary group Wagner. The stickers were noticed by residents in different parts of Krakow.

The stickers feature the Wagner Group logo with the text “We are here. Join us”. According to the police, the QR code shown leads to a recruitment site for the group.

Nervousness has increased in Poland since troops from Yevgeny Prigozhin’s mercenary army set up camp in neighboring Belarus after a failed uprising in Russia.

“We don’t know if the sticker campaign is a joke or if there is something more serious behind it,” said a police spokesman in Krakow. The police are looking for the perpetrators.

Under Polish criminal law, both recruitment to foreign armies and enlistment are prohibited. Violations are punishable by up to five years in prison.
