Investigation opened against Flamengo striker Gabigol for alleged theft in Libertadores elimination

After Flamengo striker Gabigol told ESPN that there was a “very big theft” in the elimination of the team in Libertadores, Conmebol reacted and opened an investigation against the player.

The entity denounced the scorer in article 19 of the Disciplinary Code. The item deals with the manipulation of matches or competitions, but the extent of the punishment in cases such as that of the red-black player is not expressed.

“It’s bad to talk because, when you lose, it looks like you’re crying. But the referee reversed fouls, expelled our coach, Conmebol is right next door. There are many things that happen in Libertadores and you know, because they are here off the field. Attacked fouls, Wesley fouled in the 3rd goal. Talking about it seems like crying. I think there were many mistakes on our part, but I think it was a very big theft”.

O UOL found out that Conmebol’s top leadership was very uncomfortable with Gabigol’s statement, but that the case will only be analyzed by the competent bodies.

The entity did not understand the statement because it does not know what the attacker is referring to since it does not indicate anything. And the view among top hats is that this speech affects the entire competition that Flamengo has won twice in recent years.

That is, it is not understood in Conmebol that Gabigol claims robbery when he loses, but that he considers Libertadores legitimate when he wins.
