In June, we got the first gameplay preview from the upcoming survival horror Alan Wake 2 from the Finnish studio Remedy. However, the developers only showed a short part of playing as Saga Anderson, an FBI agent who investigates murders in and around the town of Bright Falls. She is one of two playable characters and should account for about half of the story, however Remedy has largely focused marketing solely on her so far. However, that will soon change.
Hosted by Geoff Keighley he announced, that at his Opening Night Live show, which precedes Gamescom in Cologne, Alan Wake 2 will be shown again. But this time we look directly into the Dark Place behind the imprisoned writer. The event is scheduled for August 22nd at 20:00 CEST.
Alan Wake is in the dark place…don’t miss the brand new reveal from @alanwake 2 live during @gamescom Opening Night Live on Tuesday, August 22.

It’s not the only time Alan Wake 2 will be presented at Gamescom. Remedy has also prepared a new hands-off demo, which, however, will not be available on the show floor or in the business section, but in a completely separate location outside the exhibition center and only for journalists. Anyway, I can tell you that if you follow our reports from Gamescom, you will definitely not come away empty-handed.
Alan Wake 2 is released on October 17 this year. Heading to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
All about our Alan Wake 2 Dark Place demo. Doing it a bit differently than we’ve done the demos for the past few games. Its very moody (surprise :D) and you are gonna trip out on some the reveals there. We got plenty of surprises left. #alanwake2 #AlanWake
