One person has been confirmed dead and another is critically injured after a serious traffic accident on the E18 in Oslo.

The police report it at 10.06 p.m.
A total of four people were involved in the accident. The other two are slightly injured.
Just before the accident, the car ran away from a police patrol who wanted to check it, the police write in Oslo earlier.
– They want to stop the car, they don’t, and then the car just disappears for the patrol. They find the car shortly afterwards with extensive damage, operation manager Gjermund Stokkli tells VG.
He states that the Bureau is routinely notified.

Operations leader Anders Rønning at the scene says that a police patrol at 10 p.m. became observant of a car they wanted to stop.
– They perceived that the car was speeding and wanted to control it. Then the speed was increased so much that it disappeared for the police, says Rønning to VG.
A short time later, the same patrol observed the car lying on the roof, says Rønning.
The fire brigade, police and health rushed to the scene.
– This is a serious accident. There is a run-off with a car involved, said duty commander at the 110 central Oslo, Robert Gudmundsen, to VG.
