The Bas-Rhin national police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal accident that occurred overnight from Thursday to Friday in the town of Schiltigheim. A man on a scooter died after being hit by a car. The four occupants of the vehicle fled on foot.
“The Strasbourg accident brigade is looking for anyone likely to bring elements to the investigation in order to determine the exact circumstances of this accident and to identify the perpetrators”, writes the police in its appeal.
The victim died during his transfer
The accident took place this Friday morning between 00:30 and 00:45, specifies the document, at the corner of the streets of Donon and Vendenheim. The emergency services intervened at 00:48: “The driver of the scooter, in cardio-respiratory arrest, was taken care of by the firefighters”, indicate the firefighters of Bas-Rhin.
“He could not be resuscitated and was pronounced dead by the doctor during his transport to a hospital structure.”
The victim was driving an X-Max, while the vehicle that hit him, abandoned a few meters away, is a white Peugeot 208.
