The police first reported that a person had been stabbed and seriously injured at the Vaterlands bridge.

– The person has been taken to hospital. The extent of the damage is unknown, but not critically damaged. It happened in the open street, and must have started with three people fighting, says operations manager Gjermund Stokkli.

Six minutes later it happens again, a few hundred meters away. A person is seriously injured.

– Someone also fought there, and one person was stabbed. We do not know how many people have been involved. That too on the open street, says Stokkli.

He says that they are investigating whether the two incidents have anything to do with each other.

– We have searched for the perpetrators, and we are working and unraveling from several hypotheses, says Kristian Bjørberg, head of operations in the Oslo police district, to VG at 23.30.

– What do you know about the occasion?

– Very little, but further investigation will hopefully provide an answer to that.
