When you know someone deeply, you can fall in love with his character and personality, but when he is still a stranger, the first thing that matters is the appearance. That’s why if you want to immediately make a good impression with someone, you have to take care of your external appearance first. Almost always, the homeless they look neglectedas is inevitable for someone who rarely accesses the toilets and cannot afford a session at the barber or beautician.
Among the many homeless who inhabit our planet, there is Bruno Henrique Cassimiro Ramos, a Brazilian who lives on the streets of the megalopolis of São Paulo. Like many other clochards, the man has long hair and a thick beard. Or at least, he had them until he met her Leandro Matias, barber and hairdresser from São Paulo. The latter was around the city and was waiting for the light of the traffic light for the pedestrian crossing to turn green, when he noticed Bruno, who was begging on the sidewalk.

In an interview with the Brazilian site Opovo, the barber said that as soon as he saw him, he wondered how he could help the man. The first idea that came to mind was to invite him to his salon. “I gave him my business card and told him he could come see me anytime, because I wanted to help him change his look.” Initially Bruno appeared suspicious, so a few hours later it was the hairdresser who came back to him and personally accompanied him to his salon. The first thing he did? “I gave him soap and a couple of towels. I told him to shower with his life. Then I bought him lunch.”

After feeding him, as promised, he also radically changed his appearance: “A fabulous haircut complete with highlights, a serious beard trimming, a facial and eyebrow trimming”, declared the hairdresser. How did the homeless man react to seeing himself in the mirror? “When I finished, he was in shock. He no longer recognized himself: from homeless he had become a model”, joked Matias. After the post went viral in Brazil, a dentist offered to give him free dental treatment. It’s unclear what happened nextbut if Bruno was looking for a fresh start, he found it thanks to two generous people.
