Residents Protest Bayat Health Center After Death of Paskibra Member

Jakarta

The death of a Paskibra member, a student with the initials TA (16), a resident of Bogem Village, made residents protest the services of the Bayat Health Center, Klaten, Central Java. The Klaten Regency Government will also evaluate all health centers.

As is known, representatives from several villages around 08.00 WIB gathered at the monument between Nengahan and Bogem Villages. About 10 residents’ representatives were received by the head of the Puskesmas, Doctor Wahyu Ciptadi, Bayat sub-district head, Joko Purwanto, AKP Diyatno police chief and Muspika. Residents questioned the performance of the Puskesmas which was considered slow.

Klaten Regent Sri Mulyani also expressed her condolences for the death of TA. According to him, this event should be used as material for evaluation.

“I, as the Regent of Klaten, am also concerned, sorry, I hope that the members of the paskibra who are still (deceased) are husnulkhatimah. Of course, this will be material for my evaluation,” said Regent Klaten Sri Mulyani to journalists after the pilgrimage recitation at Graha Bung Karno, reported by detikJatengFriday (11/8/2023).

Sri Mulyani said that with this incident she would immediately hold a coordination meeting. The meeting was to discuss the condition of all health centers in Klaten.

“I immediately brought together the conditions in the area, what are the conditions at the inpatient health center. How come it’s almost the same as the previous case (in Ganwarno), this will be my evaluation,” he said.

Explanation of the Bayat Health Center

The Bayat Health Center stated that TA patients were indeed brought to the Health Center. But while at the puskesmas, the patient’s condition had died.

“Yesterday’s case, it didn’t arrive five minutes, it was handled by the children, it was installed (device) and it was positive (died). The history from the house was blue, it was foaming. Usually it’s the heart, but needs further examination,” said the head Bayat Health Center, Dr. Wahyu Ciptadi told reporters, Thursday (10/8/2023).

Residents responded to TA’s death by flocking to the Puskesmas. Residents from representatives of several villages questioned the performance of the Bayat Health Center, which was considered slow.

Wahyu said that his party had apologized and thanked the residents who came to provide input.

“As material for correction later, because we are lacking drivers. Drivers are hospitalized, but we will follow up on this,” Wahyu explained.
