Olympiacos (Greece)’s key midfielder Hwang In-beom was suddenly removed from the list, and local media reported that he was in conflict with the club over a transfer request.
Gazzetta Greece reported on the 11th, citing a club source, “Hwang In-beom broke the existing contract and informed the team of his intention to transfer. The contract has two more years left.”
He added, “Olympiacos is in a position that this is unacceptable. We will deal with this issue through the club’s lawyers.”
At the same time, “club officials believe that Hwang In-beom’s behavior is unprofessional,” he said, conveying the current conflict situation.
Hwang In-beom’s contract with Olympiacos is known to last until 2025.
Another media, Spottime, also reported that the conflict between the two sides could escalate into a legal battle, and that Olympiacos has not yet received any proposals from other clubs that would be satisfactory.
These media did not disclose the reason for Hwang In-beom’s request for a transfer or the specific details of the conflict.
