According to the Croatian press, which cites the Police Department of Primorje-Gorski Kotar, the dozen young people left the University of Rijeka, where they were staying, on Wednesday, around 3.30 pm and are in an unknown location.
According to authorities, handball players in Burundi are not answering phone calls.
However, the International Handball Federation issued a statement informing that the meeting with Bahrain, scheduled for this Thursday, was canceled and Burundi was withdrawn from the competition.
