Blizzard Entertainment has released Overwatch 2 on the Steam digital store. For the studio, this is the first release on the platform from Valve. As in Battle.net, the shooter is distributed on a shareware model, but it is not available to players from Russia.
The Overwatch 2 page is not banned in the country, however, when trying to add the game to the library, the Steam client gives an error. At the same time, the shooter has already received a lot of negative reviews with comments in Russian, but mostly they are not related to regional restrictions.
Along with the release on Steam, Overwatch 2 kicked off its sixth season. A new support hero, Illari, the Flashpoint PvP mode, new maps, and three PvE missions have been added to the game, which can only be accessed by purchasing the special Invasion Pack.
