Low Vaccination Rates in Manizale: 61,000 People Yet to Start Covid-19 Vaccination Scheme

About 61,000 people from Manizale have not started a vaccination scheme against Covid 19.

During 2023, 327 cases of Covid 19 have been registered in Manizales, of which eight are in children under 3 years of age, figures that show the importance of vaccinating children on time and following the guidelines provided by the Ministry of Health and Protection Social.

Leidy Lisbeth Moreno Meza, head of the Public Health Unit indicated that “We invite all parents to bring their children to guarantee protection against this disease, which is still active in the city and which accumulates more than 300 cases this year, 8 of them in children under 3 years of age, generating two deaths in the last 2 years.

Currently, about 61,000 people from Manizale have not started a vaccination scheme against Covid 19 and some have yet to receive their full scheme or booster dose.
