Introducing “TAS All-Round Protection”: A Comprehensive Insurance Package for Travel Agencies

The insurance broker Touristik Assekuranz-Service has introduced a new insurance package for travel agencies under the name “TAS all-round protection”. This is “tailor-made to the insurance needs of travel agencies” and can be taken out from an annual premium of 799 euros net, emphasizes Sales and Marketing Manager Carsten Dreyer. This would allow “travel agencies to ideally protect themselves against almost all risks in the context of their business activities”.

Specifically, the all-round protection consists of five insurance components. The package includes property damage liability insurance, which covers, among other things, mistakes made by the travel agent when advising customers or incorrect price calculations. In addition, there is liability insurance as the contractual air carrier, which is important for air ticket sellers.

According to the TAS, another “essential component” of the package is public liability insurance. In addition to the usual insurance claims such as damage to rented property, this also includes private family liability insurance for travel agency owners.

Business contents insurance, which also includes electronics and glass insurance, as well as basic cyber insurance complete the offer. “By bundling the insurance lines in one contract, there are attractive price advantages,” says TAS manager Dreyer for the new offer.
