Electronic Arts Announces Sports FC Mobile: Updated FIFA Mobile Game for Smartphones

Electronic Arts has announced Sports FC Mobile, a soccer game for smartphones that will be available on September 26. It is an updated version of what is currently still called FIFA Mobile or also FIFA Soccer or Football.

In a press release EA states that Sports FC Mobile is made for smartphones, where the game speed and feel of gameplay would be tailored to mobile platforms. The company is also announcing new True Play Personality features that will give “certain players” their own animations, penalty kicks and goal celebrations.

Gamers who currently have the FIFA game installed on their iOS or Android smartphone will not need to download the updated game again; EA Sports FC Mobile is an update to the current game. The new mobile football game will be available from September 26 via the App Store and Play Store and will remain free-to-play as far as known. A few days later, on September 29, EA Sports Football Club 24 will be released. This will be the publisher’s first major football game without the FIFA moniker.
