North Korean-made shells entered Russia through Iran, experts say.
For the first time, photos of Russian army ammunition produced in North Korea have appeared on the Internet. 122-mm projectiles for BM-21 Grad multiple launch rocket systems have recently begun to be issued to Russian crews, media reported.
However, in all likelihood, they came into Russia’s possession not directly from the DPRK, but in transit through Iran.
Analysts from the Ukraine Weapons Tracker community note that the Iranian regime has ammunition for Soviet multiple launch rocket systems, which ended up in the Middle East after production in North Korea. Dictatorships have been cooperating with each other for a long time, and Russia has recently joined the “tripartite alliance”.
Photos are published by the Telegram channel “Ukraine 365“.
Recall that Iran still has not received fighter jets, for which the country paid the Russian Federation last year.
