In the name of a more dynamic design and even better aerodynamics, the Toyota Prius has become a few centimeters lower.
Since the Prius is a plug-in hybrid, we had to find a place for a more capacious 13.6 kWh battery. It takes four hours to charge from a standard 3.3 kW socket. But the new Prius also gets energy from the sun. Nine kilometers will be enough.
The hybrid device is built on the basis of a two-liter gasoline engine, and its total power is 223 horsepower. CO2 emissions, even according to the WLTP standard, are almost microscopic – 11 grams per kilometer. The new Prius drives best in 100% electric mode, where it can reach speeds of up to 130 km/h. The maximum speed of the car is 180 km/h.
Toyota has equipped the Prius with countless driver assistants. Even before its European debut, the fifth generation Prius received the prestigious Red Dot design award. The new Prius is characterized by design, comfort and an understandable price. The price of the new generation Toyota Prius starts at 45,300 euros.
