The chance that Gerónimo Rulli will leave for Bayern Munich this summer has become a lot smaller. The German club prefers Chelsea’s Kepa Arrizabalaga, reports transfer expert Florian Plettenberg.

Bayern want to make a deal with Chelsea and have now opened talks. There is a rental period on the table, with an option to buy. Initially, discussions were held with both Rulli’s management and Kepa’s entourage. After those talks, Bayern took the plunge, it sounds. Partly due to the character and quality of Kepa, the club is fully committed to the arrival of the 28-year-old Spaniard.
Kepa must replace the departed Yann Sommer. Rulli is still an option if negotiations with the Spaniard fail. The Argentinian was previously praised within the club management of Bayern, for his performance at Villarreal and not directly in the service of Ajax. Talks between Kepa, Chelsea and Bayern Munich will continue in the coming days.
