He did not immediately learn about the tragedy.
Boris Klyuev has played dozens of roles in theater and cinema. But most Russian viewers still remember him as the inimitable Nikolai Petrovich from the Voronin sitcom. The hero performed by Klyuev became truly popular, and his signature phrases were picked up even by those Russians who were not fans of the series.
And few people guessed that Klyuev’s bright humorous talent was hiding a personal tragedy. The actor was married three times, but became a father only in his first marriage. In 1969, his heir Alexei was born.
Soon Klyuev divorced his wife, and after parting, his communication with the boy was interrupted. As the actor said, his ex-wife insisted that he actually abandoned his son. Subsequently, he greatly regretted this, because he did not even immediately find out about the sudden death of Alexei at the age of 23.
The official cause of death for the young man was heart failure. But Klyuev himself strongly doubted this.
“A convenient phrase, but what really happened is unknown. I do not believe in this. Died very young, – the artist complained during his lifetime in past interviews.
