The concert “Piano virtuosos’ evening” will be held in the Dzintari concert hall today at 8 p.m., which will open the “Summertime – invites Inese Galante” festival, which will be held for the last time this year, festival representative Janea Steinberg informed LETA agency.
Andrejs Osokins, Reinis Zariņš, Daumants Liepiņš and Aurelija Šimkus will perform at the concert, playing the melodies of the Polish composer Frideric Chopin, the compositions of Johann Sebastian Bach and modern interpretations of Johann Sebastian Bach, as well as the reminiscences of Ferenc Liszt.
German musician Štefans Hantels will perform at the “Summertime – Inese Galante” festival on August 11 at 8 p.m. Balkan, funk, reggae and rock influences can be heard in his music. Hantels has prepared several musical surprises for the concert, and he will perform together with Latvian artists.
The concert “Viva amore!” will be held in the Dzintari concert hall on August 12 at 6 p.m., where internationally recognized artists will take the stage together with the patron of the festival Ines Galanti. Among them will be the Ukrainian bass Alexander Tsimbalyuk, who has played leading roles in performances in the world’s leading opera houses, including the Metropolitan Opera and La Scala.
Also, those interested will hear the soloist of the Latvian National Opera and Ballet, tenor Artjomas Safronov, as well as young performers, finalists of the competition “Talents of Inese Galante”. Austrian pianist Greta Erharter-Sargasyan will play the piano.
In the evening of the same day, at 20:00, Italian jazz will be performed by Rafaëls Gvalaci. He is one of the most titled Italian musicians performing in the jazz-blues genre.
With the Galante Foundation, the initiative to support young artists “Talents of Inese Galante” continues. At the festival “Summertime – invites Inese Galante” on August 13 at 18:00 in the small hall of the Dzintari concert hall, the laureates of the competition will perform – guest artist of the Latvian National Opera and Ballet, soloist Inna Kločko, saxophonist Ilva Ešenvalde and violinist Andrejs Jegorovs.
The festival will end on August 13 at 8 p.m. At the gala concert, Broadway artist Ute Lemper will perform, who will present a mono-performance “Meeting with Marlene”.
