A report from the New York City Medical Examiner’s Office has revealed the cause of death of Leandro de Niro-Rodriguez, grandson of renowned American actor Robert de Nirowho passed away on July 2.
The forensic entity, in charge of the investigation into the death, indicated that Leandro died due to a combination of drugs and medications.
“The cause of death were the toxic effects of fentanyl, bromazolam (a sedative), alprazolam (another sedative), 7-aminoclonazepam (a type of clonazepam), ketamine, and cocaine,” the office said.
Days after the death, Drena de Niro, daughter of the well-known actor and mother of Leandro, stated on her Instagram profile that someone had sold her son “manipulated fentanyl pills.” “They knew they were rigged, but they still sold it to them.”
“So, to all those people who are selling that crap, know that my son is gone forever,” Drena de Niro said through the social network.
