11 people lost their lives in a fire at a holiday home for the disabled in eastern France, officials said.

Earlier it was reported that ten disabled people and one carer were missing after the fire in Wintzenaim.
The fire started on Wednesday morning around 6.30 am. At that time, 28 people were staying in the holiday home.
The local prosecutor’s office reported two groups of adults, one group had disabled people.
17 people managed to get out of the house before the firemen arrived. Most of them were from the first floor of the building.
One person was injured, another was in a state of shock.
