It is a Hyundai i30 car, a representative of the lower middle class, which is manufactured in the Czech Republic, specifically in Nošovice, Silesia. It was this car that was at least a little bit able to break Škoda’s dominance in the statistics of new car registrations of the Association of Automobile Importers (SDA).
When we look at the numbers for the first seven months of this year, we find that the Mladá Boleslav brand has its models on the first six ranks (in the order of Octavia, Fabia, Kamiq, Scala, Karoq and Kodiaq), followed by the Hyundai i30 in seventh place (4,705 registration) and the eighth is Škoda Superb. By the way, Hyundai Tucson and Volkswagen Golf round out the top ten.
The success of the i30 on the domestic market continues despite the fact that the compact from Nošovice, which is available in hatchback, station wagon and fastback body versions, was introduced in the current third generation in the fall of 2016. Although all variants underwent modernization in 2020, that it does not change the fact that the i30 will be with us for seven years. It should be time for a generational change soon.
But it seems that Hyundai is planning a second facelift instead. In the vicinity of the technical center of the European division of the Hyundai car company in Rüsselsheim, Germany, camouflaged cars of all body versions of the i30 model have recently been seen. Even sharp versions of N have been caught.
Although the cars wore camouflage, hiding important design details, at the same time they did not hide so much that it was not obvious that they were examples of the current generation.
Since the masking in all cases protected the front and back, we can assume that changes will occur in these areas. We do not yet know how extensive and daring they will be, but we expect at least a modified radiator grille and redesigned headlights on both ends of the body. Maybe even the front bumper.

The modernization could also bring changes to the interior and equipment, but we do not yet have information about specific news. And the same applies to potential modifications in the range of engines.
According to some sources, however, we would not have to wait too long for the details, Hyundai will reportedly reveal the i30 after the second facelift in full display at the end of this year, or at the beginning of next year.
