Indian Superstar Prithvi Shah wins the applause by scoring a double century in county cricket. Shaw scored a double century in the Northamptonshire-Somerset match in the Royal London Cup.
Northamptonshire captain Lewis McManus won the toss and elected to bat. Shaw put out a performance that confirmed the captain’s decision.
Shaw scored 244 runs from 153 balls with 28 fours and 11 sixes at a staggering strike rate of 159.48. Just six runs short of the magical number of 250, the player returned with the wicket of Danny Lamb.
Shah, who came to the crease first, got out in the eighth over on the third ball of the 50th over. Meanwhile, the player built a partnership of 411 runs with those who came to the crease.
Along with this double ton, Shah also held another record. Shah made waves by leaping to the second position in the list of players with the most List A double centuries. Only Indian captain Rohit Sharma is now ahead of Shah.
