Following last year’s tragedy, in which a young man died and more than 40 attendees were injured after what a dry storm fell on the public various structures of the main stage and the great access door, the organization has worked throughout the year to prepare this eighth editionwhich hopes to bring together more than 300,000 lovers of electronic music under the motto «Age of Times». Thus, after the suspension of the festival during 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the cancellation last year after the thermal burst, the event has prepared an edition that promises to be unforgettable.
As in previous editions, The security device, made up of the Civil Guard, National and Local Police, will have 2,000 agents who will ensure the safety of the attendees, although its presence will be reinforced during the weekend. From the organization they recognize Levante-EMV that “this reinforcement has nothing to do with the events that occurred last year. Every year we improve security and introduce new features». They add that «Medusa 2022 was Medusa 2022 and this is another edition. It has nothing to do with each other.” In this sense, they recall that “there is a judicial process underway and, therefore, when there is any news, we will inform, but, for now, we are focused on these days.”
The festival prefers to remain silent out of “respect for the victim and the injured people”, which is why they have decided to avoid any reference to the previous edition. “We all already know what happened,” they specify.

This edition is expected generate close to 30 million euros of profit in the city. In addition, the musical appointment will originate some 2,000 jobs in the festival grounds. The organization has specified that the event will have 600 waiters and waitresses in bars, 300 people who will be in charge of validating and recharging access bracelets, 125 cleaning workers, 100 maintenance workers and 150 jobs that will be in charge of the warehouse. accreditations, animation, stages, “backstage” or access to parking, among others.

David Guetta, the main course
the belgian duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike will perform this Friday at the opening ceremony, while David Guetta will be in charge of closing the festival during the early hours of Sunday to Monday. He DJ was one of the confirmed artists in the previous edition, which was finally suspended after the tragedy. Given what happened, the organization decided to recover some of the artists who could not perform in 2022 and incorporate new DJs into the lineup. Among them, the actions of Don Diablo, Amelie Lens, Carl Cox, Oliver Heldens, Wade o Marco Carola, among others, which will make the thousands of people present dance during the three days on the five stages spread throughout the venue.
