The royal family has apparently rejected Meghan and Harry’s desire for a reconciliation.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told Newsweek that the British royal family had ignored Meghan by not publicly congratulating her on her 42nd birthday, showing that a “bitter rift” still remains between the two camps.

Meghan celebrated her 42nd birthday on August 4, but there was no birthday greeting for her on any of the royal family’s social media accounts.
It was Meghan’s first birthday following the release of the two’s scandalous Netflix documentary series and Harry’s biographical book ‘Excessive’, both of which made startling revelations against the royal family.

Richard Fitzwilliams, referring to the protocol that only members of the royal family who work for the royal family are publicly congratulated, said – while it is seen as an official excuse for ignoring Meghan’s anniversary, “in reality it exposes the bitter rift in the royal family”.
He added: “Harry’s memoir ‘The Redundant’ and the interviews he gave to promote it have been extremely damaging.”
