A wonderful opera event has found its wonderful end. The last “Don Carlo” performance took place on the impressive stage in the Kaiserhof last Sunday.
Yes, superlatives have their rightful place here. Because this year’s opera in Klosterneuburg broke all records. Pointless to come up with numbers now. Sold out twelve times, speaks for itself.
Compliments, Mr. Intendant, on the 25! Compliments to the excellent singing and acting performances! Compliments to everyone who contributed! Great Opera!
The critic wrings his hands trying to find some negative. Ah – there was something: Offering only one gastro stand for a total of around 10,000 visitors is annoying for the guests who want to take a break from a three-hour performance, if you don’t want to use the whole break to queue for a glass of sparkling wine.
Could it be done better next time? More better, is not possible…
