KIEV – Soldier Russia very different from the army Ukraine because they are not human. This was revealed by an American transgender journalist who was recently appointed as the official spokesman for the Kiev territorial defense force.
On Saturday, Sarah Ashton-Cirillo posted a 21-second clip on X (formerly Twitter) in which she can be seen standing in front of the cardboard cutout of a Russian soldier.
“Do you know the difference between us and them?” he asked, pointing to the piece of cardboard RTWednesday (9/8/2023).
“While Ukraine is fighting for freedom, Russia is fighting for tyranny and dictatorship,” said Ashton-Cirillo.
He added that its most distinctive feature is that it is quite simple.
“We are human beings, and those people are definitely not,” he said, ending the speech with the slogan “Glory to Ukraine.”
The video was not received well by many social media users, with some describing it as “highly objectionable” and “absolutely disgusting”. Another commentator recalled that viewing Russians as non-humans did not end well for Nazi Germany in the 1940s.
On Sunday, Ashton-Cirillo released a separate clip mocking the Russian paratroopers as he hangs the same figure of the soldier upside down by tying a rope around his ankles. Ashton-Cirillo said he was celebrating Russian Paratroopers Day, which falls on Aug. 2.
