An American woman was surprised when a snake fell on her head while she was cleaning her outdoor yard in Texas, to be the biggest surprise when she was attacked by a hawk that pounced on its fleeing prey.
Peggy Jones said she was mowing the lawn in her backyard when a snake fell on her and wrapped itself around her arm and neck, squeezing her hard.
She added, “When I started moving and hitting to expel the snake, the hawk pounced on me, targeting my arm to catch its prey.”
And she continued: After moments of terror, the hawk got its prey, I was covered in blood and I felt my arm being torn off.
Peggy said the hawk ultimately saved her life, adding: “This was God’s way of letting me live because I couldn’t figure out a way, the snake wouldn’t leave my arm.”
Peggy was taken to the hospital, and the doctors were surprised by her injury, as the accident left scars on her arm that will accompany her for life.
