Russian forces have begun using a new Peroed radio-electronic warfare system in the Ukraine combat zone. What it is, the specialist in communications, electronic warfare and intelligence Sergey (Flash) Beskrestnov tells in his Telegram channel, informs the Ukrainian publication “Focus”.
“Outwardly it looks very good. Without air cooling, in my experience, it will not be able to work all the time. Therefore, either the power is below 10 watts per range, or the operating mode is receive-suppress,” he wrote.
According to the manufacturers, “Peroed” is aimed at suppressing drones, which is achieved by the technique creating a kind of “shield” around itself.
“They probably encountered polarization and added a second antenna. It should be understood that with such an arrangement of antennas, the complex does not create a dome, but a kind of shield. 60-70 degrees of opening in the direction of the tilt,” explains Beskrestnov.
