Last weekend, in the oasis of good tastes and feelings “Hercogs Garden” in Riga, the opening party of the new book “Richiys Roo rygis concertu 2” was held, the darling of Laura Reinika and her sister Ruta Reinika-Preis. The event was well attended and many well-known young parents with their children were gathered there. There were songs, uplifting speeches, taking pictures together, an ice cream making master class and snacks!
During the event, those present were introduced to the new friends of the main character of the book, the adventurous teddy bear Richie Roo – the monkey Kiki and the teddy bear Ruby! There were also performances of songs from the 13-song album included with the book. The music author of the new songs is also this time Lauris Reiniks, but unlike the first book, for which the poems were written by the grandmother of the Reiniks family, Veronika, this time they were composed by Rūta Reiniks-Preis, the author and inspirer of the whole project idea.
Richie Roe’s journey to readers and listeners began two years ago, in August 2021, with the release of the first book “Richies Roe Holds a Concert”. For the music album accompanying the book, its creators received both a “Golden disc” for more than 5,000 sold copies, and later also a “Platinum disc” for more than 10,000 sold copies of the album.
Like the first edition, this is also a colorful and interactive book of poems and coloring pictures, supplemented by an album of new songs and instrumental accompaniments to those songs.
The album opening event was attended by the book’s artist Guna Miķelsone, the entire Reinik family, the attractive event manager Renārs Zeltiņš, the influencer Simona Kubasova-Prakasa, the friendly Jānis Palkavnieks, the TV show star Magone, the TV presenter Elīna Fīrmane. , rocker Edgars Rakovskis, head of “Latvijas Radio 2” Kaspars Mauriņš, singers Rūta Dūduma-Ķirse and Laura Raila and journalist Eva Johansone. Multi-artist Kashers, head of the book publisher – “Izdevniecība MicRec” Guntars Račs and many others also took part in the event!
Not only the authors and characters of the book gave a special performance, but also the chef of “Hercogs Garden” Andris Rūmītis, preparing ice cream in a special way in front of the guests! It was exciting and brought together a large crowd of sweet lovers!
