A woman from Thuringia has become the victim of fraudsters on an Internet platform. She had even taken out loans for it. This scam was her undoing:
A woman from Erfurt has become a victim of investment fraudsters. According to the police, the 53-year-old opened an account on an Internet portal and invested money in April. A supposed employee feigned the woman high profits for several months.
Believing that she had found a good investment, the Erfurter took out several loans and invested the money. However, since no winnings were ever paid out, the woman finally realized that she had been taken in by scammers. The 53-year-old suffered damage of more than 130,000 euros.
