Delhi Service Bill will be presented in Rajya Sabha today, AAP-Congress ready to fight BJP, know in whose favor the numbers

New Delhi. After passing the Lok Sabha, the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill will be presented in the Rajya Sabha on Monday. Here also the majority is in favor of the Modi government, but there are full chances of an uproar regarding this. The Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party party have issued whips to their Rajya Sabha MPs to be present in Parliament on Monday. The bill aims to replace the existing ordinance regarding control of services in Delhi, which requires a majority of 119 MPs to pass.

There was a confrontation between the NDA government and the MPs of the opposition ‘INDIA’ regarding the National Capital Territory Administration (Amendment) Bill. After passing the bill there, now the opposition will be in a mood to create ruckus on it in the Rajya Sabha. At present the number of Members of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha is 238. 7 seats are vacant. BJP has 92 MPs in Rajya Sabha. With the addition of 4 MPs from AIADMK and 1 MP each from Asom Gana Parishad, Mizo National Front, NPP, PMK, RPI(A), TMC(M) and UPPL, the figure reaches 103.

Independents can come in favor of BJP
BJP is also expected to get the support of one independent and five nominated MPs. It is believed that BJP will get the support of Rajya Sabha MP Praful Patel of NCP (Ajit Pawar faction). Including allies and independents, this number of BJP MPs has increased to 110. Apart from this, YSR, BJD are in support of the Center on the Delhi Service Bill. BJD and YSR Congress have 9-9 MPs in Rajya Sabha. That is, in total, the NDA has a strength of 128 in the Rajya Sabha, due to which the bill will be easily passed.

Which party has how many Rajya Sabha MPs
The coalition of opposition parties ‘INDIA’ has 109 MPs including BRS. A total of 98 members of ‘India’, a coalition of 26 parties, are in the House. Congress alone has 31 MPs. Aam Aadmi Party has 10 and DMK has 10 members. TMC has 13 and RJD has 6 members. CPI(M) and JDU have 5-5 members. NCP has four and Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) has three MPs.

India’s figure is unable to go beyond 109
JMM and CPI have 2 MPs each. IUML, Kerala Congress (M), RLD and MDMK have 1 MP each. Even including small parties, the opposition is not able to cross the figure of more than 109. BSP has 1 member in Rajya Sabha. This party can boycott during voting like Lok Sabha. Many other MPs in the Rajya Sabha can vote in favor of the BJP government. Overall, this bill will not only pass easily in the Rajya Sabha, but the strength will also go beyond 128.
