On the Diablo 4 subreddit, a player posted a warning post saying his friend had been banned by Blizzard for exploiting the bug.

In the Reddit comment area, there are also a large number of comments that reflect that their account has been blocked, and some comments point out that the player’s friend really deserved it.
Blizzard said they fixed the bug in a recent hotfix, and it hasn’t been seen since. It is not known how many players were banned by Blizzard after using this loophole.
