The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on its citizens to adhere to the previously issued travel ban to Lebanon, in order to preserve their safety.
The Ministry stressed that citizens communicate in emergency cases via the number 0097180024, and register in the “My presence” service.
And the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs page on the X platform (formerly Twitter) stated: “In order to preserve the safety of the country’s citizens, the ministry stresses the importance of adhering to the previously issued decision to prevent UAE citizens from traveling to Lebanon.”
The statement of the UAE Foreign Ministry came after days of fighting in the Palestinian camp of Ain al-Hilweh in Lebanon between members of the Fatah movement and militants.
The fighting, which has been going on for four days in Ain al-Hilweh camp near the southern coastal city of Sidon, has left 13 people dead and dozens wounded.
