Former Player Wasim Jaffer Urges Indian Team to Replace Ishan Kishan in the Second T20I against West Indies

Jaffer also did not hesitate to compare the performances of Jaiswal and Ishan in the IPL

Former player Wasim Jaffer wants the Indian team to make a change in the line-up ahead of the second T20I against the West Indies. Jaffer also clarified that Ishan Kishan, who has been out of form for a long time, should be replaced in the format.

Jaffer’s opinion is that Yashaswi Jaiswal should be considered instead of Ishaan.

“Yasaswi Jaiswal can play as an opening batsman. I would like to see Jaiswal instead of Ishaan. Ishan’s form in Twenty20 is a cause for concern. He has not scored more than 40 runs in the last 15 innings. Impact is also low. But Ishan is in form in ODIs,” T20 is different, Jaffer told ESPNcricinfo.

Jafar also did not hesitate to point out Jaiswal’s performance in the IPL. Jaiswal won the Emerging Player award for the 2023 season.

“Why not give a chance to a player who has performed well in the IPL. Jaiswal is confident. I want to see this one change. The pitch in the first match was tough. The nature of the pitch in the second Twenty20 is crucial. “Batters can shine if they are favourable,” Jaffer added.
