Online shopping is now more popular than ever. You can buy almost anything online and many people use this convenient way to buy new things. Sometimes, when placing several orders at the same time, you may forget what has been purchased. Cindy from the United States was confused when countless packages appeared in front of her house, UPI reports.
Cindy Smith of Virginia was confused and surprised at the same time when a courier placed more than 100 Amazon boxes in front of her house.
The woman was more than sure that these were not her shipments.
Inside the boxes were things like headlamps, glue guns and binoculars. In total, Cindy says, she received about 1,000 headlamps, 800 glue guns and dozens of binoculars.
“A lot of people told me I was weird. I was driving [pa pilsētu] around with flashlights, glue guns. I gave them to everyone I met,” says Cindy. According to the woman, all the packages had her address written on them, but the person they were delivered to was an unknown woman named Lixiao Zhang.
“At first we thought it was a scam,” Cindy mentioned. She had heard of cases where sellers choose random addresses and send all unclaimed produce to them just to get rid of the goods. The same assumption was also put forward by lawyer Cj Rosenbaums. “A seller in China chooses random addresses. And when they need to clear Amazon warehouses, they just send them to the random address because it’s cheaper for them.”
