The president announced that the guided bomb hit the center of Kupyansk, causing a fire.
The attack on this Kharkiv Oblast city, located a few dozen kilometers from the Russian border, came shortly after a Russian missile attack on the Ukrainian aeronautical company Motor Sich’s factory in Khmelnytskyi Oblast, western Ukraine.
Both attacks followed a drone strike on a Russian tanker in the Kerch Strait. Moscow blamed Kyiv for the attack.
