Whenever a product goes out of line, it is very common for consumers to miss it. In Brazil, this is no different, especially with soft drinks. Whether due to a peculiar characteristic or an incomparable flavor, several brands have already pleased the Brazilian palate in the past, but today they can no longer be consumed because they have been discontinued, leaving a feeling of nostalgia.
With that in mind, in this article, we separate four soft drinks that disappeared from the shelves that were a huge success in the recent past and, even today, are fondly remembered by thousands of consumers. Check our list.
1. Guarana Brahma
Having been created by Companhia Cervejaria Brahma, the guarana soda from one of the most famous beer brands in Brazil is still missed today. Despite the company’s renown, production of the drink was discontinued at the beginning of the 21st century, when Antarctica and Brahma merged, giving rise to Ambev.

2. Tubaina
Despite being quite old, most likely you have come across a bottle of Tubaína around. Even with a generic name for a soft drink, the term “Tubaína” has become very popular among Brazilian consumers and has become a kind of synonym when it comes to a drink with a tutti-frutti flavor. It is still possible to find other “Tubaínas” out there, but the popularity of the consumable was never the same.
3. Crush
The Crush brand is well known for its orange-flavored drink, but its greatest success has been due to its grape soda. At the time, the company was a direct competitor of Grapette, bearing in mind that it captured thousands of fans between 1980 and 1990. After being purchased by the Coca-Cola Company, the company’s grape soda was discontinued. Currently, the Crush consumable is only found in other countries.
4. Wonderful
Finally, we have Mirinda, which arrived in Brazilian lands in the 70s and was implemented by PepsiCo. Between 1980 and 1990, soda ended up becoming the favorite of the vast majority of consumers. Its great success was due to the sweet taste and a unique aroma that marked an entire generation.
