Ukraine’s Adviser Calls for More Weapons and Military Aid: Significant Shortage

Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, called the shortage of weapons significant.

«[Оружия] not that it’s not enough, it’s so softly spoken. From the point of view of parity in the conduct of hostilities, there is indeed a significant shortage of it, ”he said on the air of the Ukrainian TV channel Dom.

Podolyak wants more missiles and large-caliber ammunition from the West. According to him, there is also “a certain shortage” of demining equipment.

He also wants Ukraine to “dramatically increase the ability to quickly repair armored vehicles.” At the same time, Podolyak added that the key issue in negotiations with Western partners is the transfer of air defense systems and F-16 fighters to Kyiv.

On Saturday night Vladimir Zelensky said that next week he expects new decisions from the West on military aid packages for Kyiv.
