Dozens of Kodam I/BB personnel came to the Satreskrim Polrestabes While and it is said that there was a dispute between the two parties. The North Sumatra Police said this was a personal problem, not institutional.
Reported detikSumatra, Sunday (6/8/2023), Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Regional Police Kombes Hadi Wahyudi said that initially a member of the TNI named Major Dedi Hasibuan who was a legal adviser from Kumdam I/BB came to the Medan Polrestabes. Then he wanted to meet the Criminal Investigation Unit to coordinate the legal process of his brother, ARH.
“He wants to meet the Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit to coordinate the legal process facing his brother, namely ARH,” Hadi said when interviewed at the Medan Polrestabes, Sunday (6/8).
Hadi said ARH was a suspect in the criminal case of forging land certificate signatures along with another suspect with the initials P. He emphasized that this was a misunderstanding.
“So once again this is a personal misunderstanding. Not an institution. We need to convey that the North Sumatra Regional Military Command and the North Sumatra Regional Police remain solid and committed to the law enforcement process and creating conducive Kamtibmas conditions,” he said.
Meanwhile, Kapendam I/BB Colonel Rico Siagian confirmed that members of the Kumdam who visited the Medan Police Criminal Investigation Unit, namely Major Dedi Hasibuan. He said that Major Dedi really wanted to ask about the progress of the ARH suspension.
“The point is that Major Dedi wants to ask where the letter of suspension they made has arrived,” said Rico during an interview at the Medan Police Headquarters Headquarters, Saturday (5/8).
“Well, after explaining, yes they understand that the letter was only received today at around 14.00 WIB,” he continued.
Rico explained that the suspension of ARH’s detention had now been followed up. So ARH was released from the Medan Polrestabes detention cell.
“Want to come 1 person or 10 people. In my opinion it does not make, wow, this is something negative. It’s a coincidence that Dedi brought his friends. But that doesn’t mean to attack,” he said.
