The emergency services are at a motorsport event in Sigdal with large resources after a report that lightning has struck a car. This is reported by the police on X, formerly Twitter.
– Seven people must be involved. They are conscious, the police say.
Three of those involved are sent to hospital for examinations. No other affected people have been reported.

The persons must have been standing near the car that was hit. Both the Red Cross and an ambulance were already present at the event when the lightning struck the car.

The Norway Cup for children aged 6-10 has been canceled on Saturday due to lightning. This is confirmed by Norway Cup’s press contact Kristian Brustad to Dagbladet.
– It has been canceled due to strong lightning and thunder.
When asked if the event will be moved to tomorrow, the answer is uncertain:

– Quite powerful
Meteorologist on duty at the Meteorological Institute, Martin Granerød, says that there is a lot of lightning in central Eastern Norway on Saturday afternoon.
– There will be active lightning for the next two hours, but it will gradually decrease during the evening, says Granerød to Dagbladet.
The meteorologists have sent out a danger warning for lightning in parts of southern Norway. The warning will last throughout the evening.

There are several local showers around Eastern Norway. Granerød describes the showers as partly powerful.
– If you are right under one of the worst showers, they can be experienced as quite powerful, points out the meteorologist.
