The Saudi embassy in Lebanon warned Saudi citizens against being present and approaching areas witnessing armed conflicts, calling on them to quickly leave Lebanese territory.
The embassy stressed the importance of adhering to the decision to prevent Saudis from traveling to Lebanon, wishing security and safety for all, and noting contacting it in emergency cases through its numbers.
These events, whose pace expanded between many parties, coincided with the third anniversary of the Lebanese port bombing of Beirut, and thousands of families of the victims of the port bombing gathered to demand accountability for those responsible for the accident that killed hundreds of people.
The Lebanese government had designated August 4 of each year as a national day of mourning, and called for the closure of public institutions and government agencies.
