The woman from Salzburg, who was the fastest in qualifying on Friday, won the final in wet and cold conditions in Fort William on Saturday in 4:58.242 minutes. The 21-year-old relegated the Swiss Camille Balanche, who is leading in the World Cup, by 2.02 seconds and the French Marine Cabirou (+2.36) to second and third place.
Höll got off to a good start as the last athlete on the 2.8 km long and technically demanding course with an altitude difference of 550 meters and did not give up her lead after the second split. The MTB star had already triumphed at the World Championships in Les Gets, France, last year. Before that, the downhiller had won the junior world title twice (2018, 2019). This season she won the home World Cup in Leogang and shortly afterwards in Val di Sole/Italy.
