Former Orlando Police Chief Orlando Rolon emphasized the complexity of the investigation, with numerous agencies working together to apprehend the suspects. He also highlighted the officers’ dedication to their injured colleagues and their families.

Garland Avenue was shut down after the shooting, and residents were urged to avoid the area. The Orlando Regional Medical Center was blocked off by police cars, and a tow truck was seen taking away an Orlando police cruiser from the parking lot.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office expressed solidarity with the Orlando Police Department and hoped for the officers’ recovery. Other agencies also pledged their support.
