PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) opened its voice over the incident where the Ioniq 5 electric car belonging to the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno broke down at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tangerang. HMID admitted that his team had established communication with the minister.
Putra Samiaji as Head of Aftersales Service Department of PT HMID indirectly confirmed that Sandiaga Uno’s Hyundai Ioniq 5 broke down at the airport. They immediately moved quickly to solve the problem quickly.
“Currently we are coordinating continuously with the service team in the field regarding the problems experienced by the unit (Hyundai Ioniq 5) owned by the Minister, Sandiaga Uno,” said Putra Samiaji to detikOto, Saturday (5/8).

However, Putra has not been able to talk about what happened to Sandiaga’s electric vehicle. He promised to submit an update when there is a report from the relevant team.
“We are waiting for detailed technical information to understand the cause of these problems. Of course, we will inform you further when there is the latest update from the field,” he said.
Previously, through his official Instagram page, Sandiaga Uno shared his unique experience when his electric car broke down at Soetta Airport. The incident occurred after he returned from a work visit (kunker) in Banjarmasin, East Kalimantan.
“This means that for the first time we experience that an electric car cannot run, cannot use a power bank,” said Sandiaga Uno via the short duration video uploaded to Instagram.

Sandiaga Uno did not mention the model of his electric vehicle. However, in the video, he displays a black Hyundai Ioniq 5 visualization. When detikOto searched the KPK’s assets page, Sandiaga did have the car at his house.
After the car broke down, Sandiaga Uno and his team immediately moved to the Pajero Sport car. According to him, this step must be taken to speed up his journey to another work location.
