Details: According to Politico, 8 Ukrainian pilots who are fluent in English are ready to start training on F-16 fighter jets.
It is reported that training will begin after European countries develop a formal training plan and approve it in the United States.

One of Politico’s sources also said that 20 pilots who speak some English could start taking language courses in the UK in August.
The publication notes that 32 Ukrainian pilots were selected for potential participation in the training program. This number is enough to form two squadrons.
The Ukrainian authorities have promised that they will use the F-16 only to carry out tasks within Ukraine and American fighters will not attack targets in the territory of the Russian Federation, Politico adds.
Recall: The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed that training of Ukrainian pilots on F-16 multi-role fighters should start at the end of August.
