Shara lied to her mother, she never got to the hotel room, where she told her that she was staying in the room with her friend, Ilinca. The girl left home on Sunday evening with her friend. They had to get to an international debate conference organized by the students from Neamţ. She was picked up from the train station by Mateo, with whom she walked around the city and with whom she finally arrived at his house in Dumbrava Roșie. There, the eminent 16-year-old teenager would live the last hours of her life.

In the middle of the night, Shara’s parents received the terrible news that destroyed their lives. Their daughter is dead. Father: I received a call from the emergency inspectorate: Take a seat, sit down, your child is dead! I asked him what happened and he said: The little girl was at her friend’s house and she got sick, started bleeding and could not be resuscitated.
The parents of the girl from Bucharest believe that she was drugged against her will and raped. And tens of minutes passed before help was called. Minutes that could, perhaps, have saved her. Until then, dozens of questions remain unanswered.
Wracked with grief, Shara’s parents yearn for the truth. They want to know what happened to their child, who had thousands of dreams and plans for the future. And of which there is nothing left. Than ashes.
