Sofyan Amrabat has not been included by Fiorentina in the selection for the exhibition games with Newcastle United and OGC Nice. The midfielder wants to go to Manchester United to be reunited with his old trainer Erik ten Hag.

For Manchester United, the position was clear from the start: the club wants to sell Donny van de Beek and/or Fred, after which the club would immediately report to Amrabat. The Dutchman and the Brazilian are close to leaving Manchester, which means that the first talks between United and Fiorentina will start soon. Amrabat has been aiming for a transfer to United for a long time. Football scoop revealed the mutual interest a month and a half ago.
According to Italian and English media, Amrabat has personally agreed to the switch. However, United must free up money due to the arrival of Rasmus Hojlund, who will transfer from Atalanta Bergamo for a minimum of 75 and a maximum of 85 million euros. Before the arrival of Amrabat, United must therefore sell Fred or Van de Beek anyway. The latter is negotiating with Real Sociedad.
