Ukrainian Hip-Hop Artist Signs Def Jam Contract: Memorable Concerts, Energizing Traditions, and Fading Enthusiasm to Help Ukraine

By the way, this is the first time in the history of Ukrainian hip-hop that a Ukrainian artist signs a contract with Def Jam.

We are sure that it was the right decision and a logical step.

You do a lot of concerts – both in Europe and the USA. Which of your previous concerts is the most memorable for you?

It was the performance of “Kalush Orchestra” in Great Britain, one of the biggest festivals in Europe – “Glastonbury”, as well as one of the biggest and most respected festivals in America, “SXSW” in Austin, Texas. This is an indescribable level for Ukrainian artists.

What do you do when you go back to your homeland – do you have any specific traditions, how you try to get your energy back, which is obviously a difficult task given the context?

We have a tradition – every time we return to Ukraine, each group member goes to his hometown to meet his family. Such meetings encourage and restore energy.

From your perspective, have you noticed that the enthusiasm to help Ukraine has decreased a little? If so, what do you think could be the reasons for this?

You are absolutely right, enthusiasm has waned. Every time at our concerts abroad, we try to remind our audience that the war is still going on, and that’s why Ukraine needs support.

So please don’t stop donating and praying for Ukraine!
