On Wednesday August 9, the Bibracte museum is offering an event on time and astronomy with theatrical performances by the Déviation company.
Day and night, “Sous le Ciel de Bibracte” introduces you to the measurement of time, from archeology to cosmology, including galactic archeology and musical performance. A total immersion in infinity…At the museum
At 3 p.m.: “A short history of time in archaeology”, conference by Bruno Desachy, archaeologist, heritage curator, teacher at the University of Paris 1.
At 4 p.m.: “Galactic archaeology: a window on childhood and the formation of our galactic galaxy”, lecture by Nicolas Martin, research fellow at the CNRS, Strasbourg observatory.
At 5.30 p.m.: “NOVA.NOVA / edge of the world” by the Déviation company
A musical creation for voice, gamelan, contemporary percussion and electroacoustic treatment.
The story is inspired by the cycle of life, mixing music, writing and science. A crossing of the living in music and words invents the language of beginnings: here the spoken voice, the singing voice. The sounds create the story, are made and played, echo each other to tell this origin of the world.
Writing and interpretation: Elisabeth Gilly. Percussion and electroacoustic processing: Pierre Luzy. Instrumental creation: Alain Mignon.
At 6:30 p.m.: “How to determine the age of the universe? »
lecture by Matthieu Bethermin, astronomer at the Marseille astrophysics laboratory
Note that the museum will remain open until 10 p.m.
For the meal: possibility to book a Gallic dinner at the restaurant Le Chaudron (03 85 86 52 40) or to bring your picnic.
On Mount Beuvray
At 9 p.m.: Slow walk from the museum to the summit of Mont Beuvray, under the stars.
At 10 p.m.: Observation of the constellations at the top, with the naked eye or through a telescope, in the company of Eric Chariot, of the Astronomical Society of Burgundy.
On the Terrace (also at the top): “Murmurant”, an instrumental adventure offered by the Déviation company. A festive musical show around a wall of drums, an original musical instrument inspired by the constellations. Instant music, open to all interbreeding. Rhythms, colors reinvented in the landscape.
With François Domergue, Maggy Dupa, Pierre Luzy, Alexis Sebillau, Alain Mignon and Nicolas Zanlonghi.
Participation in the conferences and the afternoon concert included in the museum entrance ticket
(€9 full price, €7 reduced price).
Free access for astronomical observations and the evening concert.
The Bibracte museum is currently open with a new program of exhibitions, visits, workshops and cultural and artistic events.
